Nubia Fonseca Ortiz, MD


Nubia Fonseca Ortiz is an a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician who studied Medicine in her home country, Colombia and graduated from the most prestigious Medical School in the country, National University of Colombia, in December 2002. She worked for her country in many different settings from rural areas to emergency department, hospitalist and outpatient clinics for about 5 years and continued her medical education at The International Red Cross in Bogota, training as Emergency Medicine Physician. Later on she decided to continue her professional growth and traveled to the United States where after 3 years of Residency she graduated from St. Barnabas Hospital Bronx, New York, in October 2011, where she received the award for Resident of the year “Professionalism”. After finishing her residency in Internal Medicine in New York she traveled to Florida and worked as a Hospitalist in Daytona Beach at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center for 5 years and then moved to South Florida to start working as a Primary care physician in Weston Florida.
