About Dr. Jimenez

Dr. Francisco Jimenez was raised and educated in Chicago. He graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University, and received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. His postgraduate education in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology was accomplished at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

After completing his training, Dr. Jimenez began his medical career in Miami and settled here because of his love for warm climates, outdoor activities and family. He was fortunate to join almost 40 years ago his late partner’s practice, Dr. Jean Samimy, and they established one of the longest associations in their specialty.

Dr. Jimenez shares his life with his wife, Joan, and their three adult children, Michael, Christina, and Sophia.

Dr. Jimenez is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an enthusiastic participant of its Maintenance Certification Program. Dr. Jimenez is a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP). NAMS is the definitive resource for menopause and other midlife healthcare issues, and sets the standards for menopause practice.

In both internal practice surveys and required nationwide hospital sanctioned surveys of patient satisfaction, Dr. Jimenez consistently scores in the top 5 percent. He guides his patient care by the principles of excellence, integrity, and compassion.
