Dr. Carolina Salazar is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynecologist committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare for women at every stage of life. With extensive training and clinical experience, she offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals.
Education and Training
Dr. Salazar earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla, British West Indies, after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of Miami in Florida. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology through Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Professional Experience
Throughout her career, Dr. Salazar has provided care in a variety of clinical settings and has volunteered her medical expertise internationally in Colombia. During her residency training, she served patients at leading medical centers in Chicago and was selected to serve as Chief Resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, demonstrating her leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
Leadership and Research
Dr. Salazar is passionate about advancing women’s healthcare through research and education. She has presented research findings at national conferences and received recognition for her contributions, including the Best Research Award at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Her research interests include transgender healthcare and pregnancy outcomes.
