#3 Minimal Downtime: What our patients love about Morpheus8 is the minimal downtime required after a Morpheus8 treatment. Depending on the body part we are treating and your personal Morpheus treatment plan, we generally recommend our patients to allow 24-48 hours to heal after each treatment, avoid direct sunlight exposure, wear sunscreen and limit the use of scented soaps and harsh skincare products. Though there might be some redness evident in the treatment areas, most of our patients return to work within hours, or maximum a day, after treatment. Swelling and skin irritation are sometimes a concern but those signs generally disappear after one week.
A series of three treatments, 4-6 weeks apart is generally recommended to maximize results. An annual refresh for maintenance is part of the suggested protocol.

The Morpheus8 Treatment: What Does It Feel Like?
We all deserve to feel and look our best. To maximize the effects of Morpheus8 and to reduce any discomfort, we apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area 30-45 minutes prior to initiating the Morpheus8 application. In addition, we offer Pro-Nox Nitrous Oxide, a form of laughing gas, which many of our patients claim make the treatment much more comfortable. Pro-Nox Nitrous Oxide is not general anesthesia so it will not put you to sleep, just relaxes you. It wears off quickly so you will not experience any qualms about driving home.
Once you are numbed, our trained nurse practitioners will begin the Morpheus8 treatment. Using a handheld device with find-grade needles which will deliver thermal heat, aka radiofrequency energy, deep within the skin. The powerful combination of the microneedling with the radiofrequency energy is what will ultimately tighten and brighten your skin. You may feel some mild discomfort but that is temporary. The minute the treatment stops, the discomfort will stop. Treatment time varies from 15 minutes to an hour depending upon the placement of the treated area.
