What I love about the OB-GYN specialty is how each day is different. One day, I am in surgery; the next day, I am seeing patients in the office. The balance of practicing clinical medicine and performing both scheduled and emergency surgery is so professionally satisfying.
Born in Puerto Rico, Dr. Rosana Rodriguez earned her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Miami /Jackson Memorial Hospital and joined South Miami OB-GYN Associates in 2021.
During her residency, Dr. Rodriguez was the recipient of numerous awards, including Best Resident Research Presentation, the SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon Award, and the John Ford Award, annually presented to the resident who has shown outstanding performance in gynecology during the course of training.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Rodriguez is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
