Pediatric Endocrinology in Port St. Lucie

Endocrinology specialists, also known as endocrinologists, know how the important role that glands and hormones play in helping the human body function at its best. These organs and chemicals affect a multitude of different bodily functions and greatly affect how the body works overall.

The endocrine glands are responsible for producing hormones and then releasing them into the bloodstream. These hormones are then responsible for controlling digestion, metabolism, sleep, lactation, muscle building, growth, and many more bodily functions. Making sure that everything is in check with your endocrine system is crucial, especially for young children whose endocrine system is still under development.
