Dr. Manuel Fernandez is a board-certified skilled and experience emergency physician and family doctor. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 1995. Then proceeded to do his medical education at the UPR School of Medicine where he graduated with distinction in 1999. He went on to complete his Emergency Medicine residency training at the UPR School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Program. He has been practicing Emergency Medicine since 2002 and has been an attending physician at Memorial Hospital Pembroke Emergency Department (Memorial Healthcare System) since 2003. Since 2010, Dr. Fernandez has been practicing, as well, as a Primary Care physician at Boriken Family Health and Wellness Center. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine in 2003 with recertification in 2013.
Dr. Noreen Zambrana is a board certified skilled and experience family doctor. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), Rio Piedras Campus with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1995. Then, she proceeded to do her medical education at the UPR School of Medicine from where she graduated in 1999. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency training at the UPR School of Medicine in the Family Medicine Program in 2002. She is board certified in Family Medicine with multiple re-certifications. She has been practicing Family Medicine/Primary Care since 2003. She founded Boriken Family Health and Wellness Center in 2010, since then has had a growing private practice. Dr. Zambrana has been able to balance practicing medicine with the labor-intense responsibility of taking care of her family, three children and her husband. She is on staff at the Memorial Healthcare System.
