Noreen Burke

ARNP

Noreen was born and raised in Massachusetts, and graduated Cum Laude from Boston College School of Nursing in 1979. After working 1 year at Mass General Hospital she moved to Seattle, Washington where she practiced for 8 years as an RN in several different medical-surgical specialties. She left there in 1987 to follow her dream to join the military. As a Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force, her first assignment was at Travis AFB, in California where she worked on a female surgical unit specializing in Gynecology. Her follow-on assignment to Misawa AB, Japan found her learning new skills in Obstetrics to include Antenatal and Postnatal care, Labor and Delivery as well as the Neonatal Nursery.

Having spent 4 years as a Registered nurse in women’s health, she was selected to attend the Air Force’s Ob/Gyn Nurse Practitioner program at the School of Health Care Sciences in Texas. She obtained her Certificate as a Women’s’ Health Practitioner in 1992.

Assigned to Tyndall Air Force base, Noreen first worked with Dr Greg Morrow as a fellow officer providing care to active duty and dependent family members until she separated to join him in his civilian practice. In 1996, she started practicing at Coastal Ob/Gyn and with Dr. Morrow and the late Dr. John Maceluch. Supportive of the US military, they allowed her to continue in the AF Reserves retiring as a Lt Col from Maxwell AFB, Montgomery Al. With the closing of Coastal Ob/Gyn in Sept 2019, and the requests from so many women she’s cared for over the years, she chose to continue working and again joined Dr. Morrow at his new office, Panama City Gynecology.

When not working, Noreen may often be seen running or riding her bike around the community. An avid runner and triathlete she has completed 14 marathons, numerous half’s and 5k’s along with 6 triathlons and Ironman Florida. She is also a cat lover, having many of her own, she works to keep down the feral cat population in her neighborhood by trapping and having them spayed.
