Dr. Sandy Lieberman is a board certified pediatrician at Beachside Pediatrics in Bay Harbor, Florida. She is particularly knowledgeable about pediatric dermatology conditions and asthma. In addition to her role at Beachside Pediatrics, Dr. Lieberman has lectured at prenatal classes at Mount Sinai Medical Center and she has lectured to students about teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases at local high schools. She also spends time sharing her pediatric knowledge teaching medical students and residents at the office.

Dr. Robin Straus Furlong was raised in Miami Florida and has been a pediatrician in private practice since 1989. She is a proud graduate of UM-Miller School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles residency program.

Dr. Perez-Silva was born and raised in Miami. She has completed all of her education locally, graduating high school at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in 1996 and later completing her undergraduate training and medical school at the University of Miami, graduating with the highest honors including membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha and receipt of the Warren W. Quillian Award for Excellence in Pediatrics. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She currently lives with her husband and son in Coral Gables.

Dr. Cordero was born and raised in Miami. She graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School in 1992 and later obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. A move with her husband to Texas led her to complete medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. After medical school she returned home to Miami for her internship and residency in Pediatrics at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she served an additional year as the Pediatric Chief Resident. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She lives with her husband and three children in Miami.

Dr. Utset was born in Chattanooga, TN, where she worked (and played) in her grandmother’s pediatric office for many summers. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate training, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She completed medical school at Vanderbilt University, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She was honored with the Mildred T. Stahlman Award for Excellence in Pediatrics, as well as a Doris Duke Research Fellowship. Dr. Utset did her pediatrics residency at Northwestern University/Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she also served as Chief Resident and completed an Academic General Pediatrics fellowship. Prior to moving to Miami, she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the Primary Care Research Network at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. She lives with her husband, a Miami-born Pediatric Orthopedic Oncologist at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and their two children.

Dr. Padron was born and raised in Miami. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and later obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. She completed medical school at Ponce Health Sciences University and her residency in Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and lives in Miami with her husband and two children.

Dr. Leah Glaser is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the Biological Basis of Behavior. Following her interest in biology and children she continued on to medical school at Tufts University to pursue pediatrics. As a native Floridian, and after the birth of her first child, she moved back to south Florida to complete her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Karina Bernetti is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bernetti has over 10 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. She joined Aventura Pediatrics, LLC in December 2014 and has hospital privileges at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, FL Dr. Bernetti earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dr. Marimón is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She and her husband currently live in Miami with their two young daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys literature and poetry. She has herself written over a hundred poems, mostly in her native Spanish. She has appeared both in print and television media, giving her professional advice on topics such as sleep, wellness, and vaccinations to greater Miami’s large Spanish speaking population.

Dr. Garrote was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she obtained a combined Bachelor of Science and Medical Degree as part of the Medical Honors Program. She then completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Born and raised in Virginia, Dr. Drew Stoudt earned his undergraduate and medical degrees in-state and completed his residency training in New York City.

Born and raised in Miami, Dr. Ernesto Erdmann is a board certified pediatrician. After attending Vanderbilt for his undergraduate studies, he returned to the University of Miami for medical school and residency.

Born in Havana, Dr. Joaquin Jimenez de Cardenas left Cuba at three years old and lived in New Jersey, Spain, and Venezuela. He earned his medical degree and completed part of his residency in Venezuela.

Dr. Martha Toledo-Valido is a board-certified pediatrician who trained at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is a mentor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
