Dr. Clones Lans is a highly skilled Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 20 years of clinical and surgical experience dedicated to providing compassionate care to women of all ages. He is the current Medical director at Lans & Associates OBGYN formerly Total Women Wellness Center, he also serves as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson North Medical Center, and is affiliated with many hospitals in South Florida, including the Memorial Healthcare System.

Adolphia Lauture, MD, is a dedicated and compassionate Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OBGYN) committed to women’s health and well-being. She has a passion for providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. Dr. Lauture is an alumna of Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.

Dr. Joyce Miller was born in New York City and raised in Miami. She graduated from South Miami High School and continued her education at the University of Miami, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.

Rafael Guinot, MD, is a proud member of the dedicated health care team at South Miami OB/GYN Associates in South Miami, Florida. Dr. Guinot was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and attended El Colegio Ponceno, an exclusive private Catholic elementary and high school. He graduated at the top of his class and committed himself to pursuing a career in medicine to fulfill his dream of helping those with medical needs. Dr. Guinot began the pursuit of his medical career upon graduation from high school and achieved the highest honors at every milestone.

Dr. Martinez is excited to be returning to Miami after completing her residency at Brooklyn Hospital, where she was Chief resident. She received both her B.A. and M.D. from the University of Florida. She looks forward to assisting patients in all areas of women’s health at South Miami OB-GYN Associates.

Dr. Rene A. Paez was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. After graduating from Colegio Maristas in 1987, he continued his higher education and received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), in Troy, New York.

Dr. Vizoso was born in Havana, Cuba and exiled to the United States as an infant. He then grew up between Puerto Rico and Venezuela until he left for college in the northeastern United States. He received his bachelors’ degree with honors from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and his medical degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut where he was inducted as an AOA member. Dr. Vizoso then moved to California where he completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California San Diego Medical Center.

Dr. Damaris Miranda received her Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in Physiology and Psychology from the University of California at Davis. She graduated with honors and received her medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Born in Connecticut, Dr. Susan Sureen Chi received her medical degree from Dartmouth College and Brown University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency training at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC where she received the Golden Apple Teaching Award.

Thomas D. Horst, MD, of South Miami OB/GYN Associates in South Miami, Florida, is committed to providing quality, patient-focused, care to the women of South Miami and its surrounding communities. Dr. Horst was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Gilman School where he excelled in math and sciences and played varsity football, basketball, lacrosse, and golf. He then headed to North Carolina and graduated with a degree in mathematics from Duke University.

Dr. Rosana Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico and currently resides in Miami.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Julia Cooper always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Inspired by her own OB-GYN and her love of science, she earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Alexandra Alvarez is an obstetrician and gynecologist who completed her residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System in 2025, where she served as Chief Resident. Born and raised in Miami, she attended Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, graduating with highest honors. She then earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, before returning home to complete her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she graduated with research distinction.
