Dr. Stone attended medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, did her internship at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg and completed her Residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York where she served as chief resident of Pediatrics.

Born in Montreal, Canada, then transplanted to North Miami Beach as a child, Dr Laufer has long called Boca Raton her home. Her educational path began with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from Cornell University. She then studied medicine at the University of South Florida. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Rosenfeld grew up in Boca Raton and attended the University of Florida where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. She received her medical degree from Florida State University and completed her pediatrics residency at Washington University in St.Louis. She is board certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the AOA Medical Honor Society.

Dr Anastasio was raised in South Florida and enjoys it’s outdoor activities so much (running marathons, biking, scuba diving, etc) that she decided to never leave! She received her BS in Biology from the University of Miami, and then her Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa.

Dr. Armada was born and raised in South Florida and has been practicing pediatrics in Boca Raton for the last 15 years. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Armada excels at connecting with children and listening to parents. She treats all of her patients as if they were her own children.

Dr. Leah Glaser is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the Biological Basis of Behavior. Following her interest in biology and children she continued on to medical school at Tufts University to pursue pediatrics. As a native Floridian, and after the birth of her first child, she moved back to south Florida to complete her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Karina Bernetti is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bernetti has over 10 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. She joined Aventura Pediatrics, LLC in December 2014 and has hospital privileges at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, FL Dr. Bernetti earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dr. Sandy Lieberman is a board certified pediatrician at Beachside Pediatrics in Bay Harbor, Florida. She is particularly knowledgeable about pediatric dermatology conditions and asthma. In addition to her role at Beachside Pediatrics, Dr. Lieberman has lectured at prenatal classes at Mount Sinai Medical Center and she has lectured to students about teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases at local high schools. She also spends time sharing her pediatric knowledge teaching medical students and residents at the office.

Dr. Robin Straus Furlong was raised in Miami Florida and has been a pediatrician in private practice since 1989. She is a proud graduate of UM-Miller School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles residency program.

Dr. Bergman attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri where he was part of a Scholars Program in Medicine. After graduating from Washington University School of Medicine in 1986, he did his internship and residency in Pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Upon completion, he relocated to South Florida where he has been practicing pediatric and adolescent medicine since 1989 in the West Palm Beach area. He has been a solo practitioner since 1991. Dr. Bergman is an active staff member at Palms West Hospital and Wellington Regional Medical Center. Dr Bergman served as Chairman of Pediatrics at Palms West Hospital from January of 2007 through December of 2008. Dr Bergman has also served as Vice Chief of Maternal Child Health and Section Chief of Pediatrics at Wellington Regional Medical Center in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006. More recently Dr. Bergman served as the Chief of the Medical Staff at Palms West Hospital from January of 2010 through December of 2011. Currently Dr. Bergman is serving as Chairmen of the Medical Peer Review Committee at Palms West Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Palm Beach Pediatric Society. In addition to practicing general pediatrics, Dr. Bergman has abiding interests and strengths in the diagnosis and treatment of Asthma, Attention Deficit Disorder, and nutritional problems.

Dr. Kim Dal Porto grew up in Jacksonville, graduated from Stetson University, and then earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Chanley Dudley joined the practice in July 2013. Dr. Dudley was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and grew up as a patient in the Carithers Group practice.

Dr. Egan joined The Carithers Pediatric Group in October 2003. She grew up in Jacksonville, Connecticut, and Hong Kong.

Dr. Derrick Owens joined The Carithers Pediatric Group in July 2019. Dr. Owens is originally from Currituck, NC, and moved to Jacksonville, FL to complete his pediatric residency training.

Dr. Caroline Williams joined The Carithers Pediatric Group in January of 2019. Dr. Williams has been a board-certified Pediatrician since 2011.

I am a first generation Haitian-American, born and raised here in Miami-Dade County. I am a wife and the proud mother of Gabriella and Santiago. I have been practicing outpatient pediatrics here in Miami for 12 years and I am proud to serve my community.

Dr. Lauren Cameron grew up in Melbourne, Florida. She received her bachelor of science in neuroscience from the University of Miami in 2010 and her medical degree from UM’s Miller School of Medicine in 2014. She then completed her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami and joined Day & Night Pediatric Services shortly thereafter. She is married and has one child.

Dr. Katlin Yasher grew up in Miami, FL. She received her bachelor of science in athletic training in 2011 from the University of South Florida. She worked as an athletic trainer for a year in an orthopedic office before going on to complete her degree at Lake Eric College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL in 2016. She completed her residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Family is a big part of Dr. Yasher’s life and she is happy to be staying home in Miami. She joined Day and Night Pediatric Services in 2019.

Dr. Ramon Oyarzun was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his bachelor of arts in business administration with a minor in chemistry in 2000 from the University of Florida and his medical degree in 2005 from the University of Miami. He completed his pediatric medical training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2008. After his pediatric residency training, he joined South Florida Pediatric Partners for three years. He joined Day & Night Pediatric Services in 2011.

Dr. Parlade was born and raised in Miami; lived in Washington, DC for medical school and training. Has been back in Miami for the past 5 years.

Dr. Mirella Suarez-Troccoli is a board certified pediatrician with expertise in pediatrics, breastfeeding, multiples, and international adoption. Dr. Esther Marin-Casariego was born in Havana, Cuba and has been living in South Florida for over 30 years. She is board certified in pediatrics and has been working as a pediatrician in this community since 1994. Dr. Marin-Casariego and her staff are committed to serving the needs of families and children, with an emphasis on quality care.

Dr. Garrote was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she obtained a combined Bachelor of Science and Medical Degree as part of the Medical Honors Program. She then completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Carmen Mejia-Carvajal completed medical school at Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, PR. She then completed her pediatric Residency at Medical Center in San Juan, PR. Dr. Mejia-Carvajal advanced her training attending the University of Chicago Hospitals where she completed two fellowships: the first one on Pediatric Hematology & Oncology and second one on Medical Ethics.

Dr. Philip Colaizzo is a highly experienced and dedicated pediatrician with an extensive background in providing exceptional medical care to children. Born in France, Dr. Colaizzo completed his medical education at St. George’s University, where he developed a strong foundation in pediatrics.

A native Miamian, Dr. Alina Siblesz-Ruiz has been a pediatrician since 2003. She earned both her undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Miami (UM) and completed her residency in pediatrics at UM’s Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Raquel Olavarrieta was born and raised in Venezuela. She completed her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University. She then pursued her MD degree at Florida State College of Medicine in Tallahassee. She is a graduate from Miami Children’s Hospital Pediatric Residency. She is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). She joined Kendall Pediatric Partners in September of 2016. Her areas of interest include nutrition, childhood obesity, and adolescent medicine.

Born in Caracas Venezuela with Portuguese heritage. I’m fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. I completed my medical education at Escuela Vargas and residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. With four years of experience working with under-served communities, I specialize in providing empathetic and up-to-date medical care, with compassion and care, since newborn to adolescent stage, including special needs children.

Born in Guantánamo, Cuba and raised in Miami since early teenage years. As a pediatrician, I specialize in offering compassionate and current medical care. My main focus is to support the growth and development of all children who come to me, from birth until late adolescence, providing them and their families with the necessary tools for a healthy lifestyle and positive mental health.

Dr. Marimón is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She and her husband currently live in Miami with their two young daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys literature and poetry. She has herself written over a hundred poems, mostly in her native Spanish. She has appeared both in print and television media, giving her professional advice on topics such as sleep, wellness, and vaccinations to greater Miami’s large Spanish speaking population.

Dr. Aguero is the only child to Cuban parents, born and raised in Miami, Fl. during his youth, he successfully raced one-design sailboats both at the local and national level. While attending ILS he met his sweetheart, Olga. After graduation, they married and moved to Tampa, Fl. where he finished his PreMed studies at USF. Then they moved to Texas, and he crossed the border every day to study medicine and earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in Mexico. His interest in Pediatrics began during medical school when his first child Jeanelle was born.

Dr. Maria del Carmen Gutierrez was born in Cuba where she studied medicine and received her medical degree. She revalidated her Medical Diploma in the United States while living in Kentucky and then went to Puerto Rico where she completed her Pediatric Residency at San Juan City Hospital. She graduated in June 2002 with honors and as the most outstanding Resident for Excellent Skills in Communication, Interpersonal Relations, Clinical Judgment, Teaching, Medical Knowledge and Professionalism.

Dr. Barry Lowy has been serving the South Florida area for more than 20 years. With his broad pediatric experience spanning from general pediatrics to emergency medicine, his fund of knowledge is able to support families with varying degrees of difficulty.

Dr. Amy Krostich graduated from the University of Rochester with a dual BA degree in Biology and Health & Society. She went directly on to a graduate program in Nursing where she completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program with both an MSN 2003 and a DNP 2004 from Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Mark Ginsburg grew up on Long Island and graduated from Hofstra University New College. He attended Medical College of Ohio at Toledo and went on to complete his Pediatric Internship and Residency at Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Ginsburg joined Pediatric Professional Associates and has practiced at this location ever since.

Dr. Lisa Miller is a native of the Midwest. She grew up in the rural farmlands of Northwest Ohio. She graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Toledo and then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the top ranked Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Miller practiced general pediatrics in St. Petersburg, Fl for 2 years before coming to Pediatric Professional Associates. She is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Karen Lee (Kaylee) Kuhn was raised in South Florida. Her childhood was enriched by much time spent in Jamaica, her mother’s birth place. She graduated from Emory University with a B.S. After obtaining her degree she volunteered in South India for four months during which time she decided upon a career in medicine. She returned to South Florida to live near her family and attended the University of Miami School of Medicine. After finishing Medical School she completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kuhn is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Jana Myers is a Miami native, born and raised. She obtained her undergraduate degree from The University of Florida, where she majored in nutritional sciences. She remained in Gainesville to obtain her medical degree from the University of Florida Medical School. Dr. Myers did her Pediatric Internship and Residency at The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was selected to serve as Chief Resident for one additional year. Since 2002, Dr. Myers has worked at Pediatric Professional Associates. She is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Myers is married and has 2 children. She enjoys Peloton, Barre class and is a huge Florida Gator, Miami Dolphin, and Miami Heat fan!

Dr. Macie Wilkins Hurtado was raised in Tallahassee, FL. She was an avid tennis player and eventually went to play on the team at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where she majored in Biology and Spanish.

Dr. Nitya Ramalingam was raised in South Florida by Indian immigrant parents. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami before receiving her Medical Degree from Florida International University.

Dr. Lisa Perez Grossman received her medical degree from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de Ciudad de la Habana, Cuba in 1988. She completed a residency in General Pediatrics at Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Margarita Taboas was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine. In 2002, she completed her pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill and began working at Lincoln Community Health Center, caring for the medically underserved of Durham, NC. Upon her return to Miami in 2005, she joined private practice.

Dr. Carolina deCespedes Escobio is Board Certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, certified in the state of Florida and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her B.S. in Microbiology/Immunology with minors in Chemistry and Sociology at the University of Miami. A graduate of the University of Miami Medical School, Dr. Escobio completed her Internship and Residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was selected to serve as Chief Resident for one additional year. Dr. Escobio began private practice in South Florida in 2004.

Dr. Ocampo attended New York University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. She then attended Georgetown University Graduate School where she received her Master of Science in Physiology. She then obtained her MD degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Dr. Perez-Silva was born and raised in Miami. She has completed all of her education locally, graduating high school at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in 1996 and later completing her undergraduate training and medical school at the University of Miami, graduating with the highest honors including membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha and receipt of the Warren W. Quillian Award for Excellence in Pediatrics. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She currently lives with her husband and son in Coral Gables.

Dr. Cordero was born and raised in Miami. She graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School in 1992 and later obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. A move with her husband to Texas led her to complete medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. After medical school she returned home to Miami for her internship and residency in Pediatrics at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she served an additional year as the Pediatric Chief Resident. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She lives with her husband and three children in Miami.

Dr. Padron was born and raised in Miami. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and later obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. She completed medical school at Ponce Health Sciences University and her residency in Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and lives in Miami with her husband and two children.

Dr. Gomathy Mohan is a native of Southern India. She graduated in 1993 from Madurai Medical College in Madurai, India. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Dr. Hector J. Trujillo is a Board Certified Pediatrician. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Este (UCE) in 1989. Dr. Trujillo completed his pediatric residency at the University of Chicago’s Lutheran General Hospital in 1997. He is currently an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Miami. Dr. Trujillo was recognized by his patients and peers in the Patients’ Choice Award 2010-2013, Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award 2010-2013 and Top 10 Doctor-Neighborhood Award 2014-2015.

Dr. Jacqueline Valdes is a board-certified pediatrician born and raised in Miami. She has a wide range of interests and expertise including childhood immunizations and preventive care, adolescents, international medicine, international adoptions, premature infants, and obesity. Dr. Valdes is a preceptor for residents-in-training at Miami Children’s Hospital. She also participates in the annual Breast Cancer Race for the Cure.

Michael L. Bruck, MD is a general pediatrician providing individualized and personal care to children in and around Wellington, Florida since 1996. Originally from the NYC area, Dr. Bruck resides in Wellington with his wife and two wonderful children, Zoe and Noah. He is the former president and current executive committee member of PBC Pediatric Society.

Dr. Cristina R. Montiel received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida in 1987 and her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1991. Dr. Montiel completed her residency in pediatrics at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1994 and joined Westchester Pediatrics soon thereafter.

Dr. Margarita Fernandez-Pujol, who is originally from Havana, Cuba, received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Miami in 1984 and her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1988.
